As a birth Doula
I will spend time with you and your partner, getting to know you both, helping to prepare for the birth of your baby. I feel passionately about empowering women to make informed choices about their pregnancy. I am naturally maternal, caring and calm. After meeting to see whether you would like to work with me, I would then see you for two antenatal sessions. You will be able to contact me by phone or email which is unlimited. I will be on call from week 38 of your pregnancy. When your labour begins, I will be with you to provide continuous support during your labour and birth. I will also stay with you for the first feed. When you are back home I will come and see you for a postnatal session and a cuddle with your beautiful baby
As a postnatal Doula
I will be available to offer support wherever you feel you may need it. Whichever your choice of feeding I will be there to offer my support and talk about any concerns that you may have. It could also be preparing meals, popping to the shops, looking after your baby whilst you nap or take a shower, doing the school run if you have older children. I feel that I am able to draw on my experience of running a busy household. Just having that extra pair of hands or a listening ear can make those first few weeks a little easier. Or it maybe that you need some extra help a little further down the line. Whatever you feel would help you I am here to support you.
"Wonderful Sue stepped into our home like she was part of the family. Happy to help wherever and however needed. She took care of my new baby and 5yr old while I got some rest and helped with general household chores. Sue is very, very comfortable, confident and playful with babies which in turn made me comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend Sue to any pregnant mum or a mum who would like postnatal support. In fact, she’s essential! Thank you Sue".
